Anyone? I've fished on and off there this winter and with only one exception, it was poor every time. I was there with a buddy three weekends ago and we worked our butts off for only one white bass each, despite being told by the local shop that the walleye bite was on.

The shop there below the dam posts reports here sometimes but doesn't start till spring.. I guess. If someone knows them or another bait shop or marina in the area, give them a call and tell them to post.

Honestly, I don't understand why bait shops are so closed lipped about giving reports out... internet is the only way to go anymore. If you call them, they act like it's an inconveince to answer the question.

I think I know why the Station hasn't changed its report since August. Until just the last couple of weeks, Truman has been several feet low. There hasn't been much water through the dam. Fishing directly downstream has been lousy, lousy, lousy.

Later in the season, you can get an occasional upper-lake report at http://www.oldoarhouseinn.com/

But they probably won't start posting again until the start of spoonbill snagging in mid-March.

They are running good water Today As all week, and the catfish were hitting on cut bait but they were small 5lb. The walleye are there also but very slow, on Chertreuse and yellow curly tail jigs bounced off the rocks on the east side below the parking lot next to the steeps and rail.

Hope this helps.

A friend and I traveled up there on Monday. They are running some water, but in talking to some locals fishing there they said it has been very slow since the cold weather. We fished from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 pm and only caught one short walleye. Only saw one other fish caught and it was a small keeper walleye. Lake of the Ozarks is down about two foot so the back eddy on the handicapp side is hardly existing. Locals said if weather holds it will pickup in a day or two. Hopefully this front coming in will fill up Lake of The Ozarks and that will make it better.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in carpooling up to the tailwaters to fish. I usually fish the evenings once or twice a week when the fishing picks up. I try to get there a little before dark and fish for a few hours after dark or till they quit biting.

Watcher, thanks for the report.

Anyone heard if its getting good? Still running water? Walleye? Hybrid/Whites?

Vonreed, I'm interested in going, but since you don't list a location on your profile, it's hard to know if it'll work.

Sorry Hornyhead, I thought it was in my description. I'm from south of Springfield. I see you're from KC so we both have a long drive, lol.

Believe it or not hardly anyone fishing prior to the last couple of weeks due to our recent "good old fashioned" Missouri winter. Thus, those of us trying to eek out an existance in this extreemly seasonal business frequently have second and even third jobs... thus no reports through this last winter. However, we are back in the swing of things and looking foreward to a great fishing season. Good luck to all and we look foreward to seeing you at the lake. Also, we do not mind at all if you call us for a report, but please be patient with us as we sometimes have a line of customers we are working on pleasing and need to have you call back.
