John f52. I tried to get up Richland and failed....miserably, probably got a chuckle outta shore fisherman. I thought about the blue springs idea. Is that reachable if you have a full day? Heard that's good crappie water as well

In may buddies bass boat its a good 15 minute run from the second shoals down to blue springs. Only have done that a couple times but seems to be that long. I think if you started early you would have plenty of time to make it in a day. I think you would just get a lot of boat traffic the farther down you got.

You could take out at Beavorama. Not as much boat traffic, and much shorter than Blue Springs. BTW, if the lake gets to 1121, the rapid below Richland Creek mouth should completely go away.

I was back at Hwy 45 bridge again today. Same story as yesterday. Lots of boats and bank fishermen, but little being caught. Saw only few crappie and white bass, all fairly small.

I only got out for about an hour last night before the clouds rolled in. Managed two small bass and an 8" striper. Wish I had more time. The weather always seems to predict my free time this time of year.

I got out yesterday morning. Only managed a little walleye. There were quite a few boats out but everyone there seemed respectful to all the kayaks that were around.
