Members waterdogMP Posted April 24, 2015 Members Posted April 24, 2015 Let's just clear this up. A conservation agent or game warden cannot, I repeat CANNOT, just walk into your house and search without a warrant. They are Law Enforcement officers and are bound by the constitution. You are protected by the 4th Amendment against unreasonable searches and seizures. They can walk up to you in your yard or your field and ask, especially if you have fish, to check your stringer/livewell, what have you. You have the right to decline, at which point they will most likely get the warrant, detain you, seize all of your fish, gear, boat, truck and everything else if you are not legal, if you are legal then I'm sure you will be fine. --Source, 7 years and counting as a Missouri Peace Officer.
