Members CadeWompus Posted April 23, 2015 Members Posted April 23, 2015 Hi Guys...If I put in at Greenfield, how tricky is it running down towards Mutton maybe even Birch for someone unfamiliar?
Members CadeWompus Posted April 23, 2015 Author Members Posted April 23, 2015 That is what I thought. Fished above Greenfield without much trouble last year. Wanting to explore the other way this time. Guess I will stick to fast idling.
Sac River Jim Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 theres a tree hazard just below greenfield landing in the middle of the lake after that its clear running to springfiend cove you have to be careful running the long bluff just below spfld cove down to the rock fence theres alot of trees just out from the end of the bluff then below rock fence watch the flat on the right side to shaw bluff stay to the left of the trees about 1/3 the way out from the bluff once your past the bluff its fairly easy running down past point nine to ruark. watch out for the flat just above ruark east camp ground but when you make the turn to go under the bridge to head to mutton dont cut it off watch for the marker bouy on the right side. after that its clear sailing on down with the exception of the flats at the mouth of googer. slab slinger 1
Members CadeWompus Posted April 24, 2015 Author Members Posted April 24, 2015 Thanks for that, Jim. That helps. I doubt I will go much past Springfield Cove. On one of my maps they called the larger creek between Greenfield and Springfield, Mutton Creek. Afterwards I realized Mutton Creek known by most is by Point 8.
