Members LukeD Posted April 28, 2015 Members Posted April 28, 2015 been a few weeks since we were down there. last time we stayed at Indian point and the water up in the creeks was really muddy and nasty but the main lake was clear. what is it like in Aunts creek? we are planning on heading down this weekend and staying at Aunts creek camping. would love to get the girlfriend on some decent fishing this time Alby Fish 1
Champ188 Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Luke, I don't believe there's any mud anywhere in the lake right now. You should be good to go. Just a tip ... tie her a Ned rig or shaky head (green pumpkin is hard to beat with either rig) on a spinning rod with 6-pound or 8-pound line and get on gravel/small rock points. The entire left bank going out of Aunts Creek has the right type of rock. Good luck. Hope you guys catch a bunch. Hammer time 1
Members LukeD Posted April 28, 2015 Author Members Posted April 28, 2015 thanks bud last time out that's what I had her use was a green pumpkin shakey head and she almost beat me almost lol
Members jackman724 Posted April 28, 2015 Members Posted April 28, 2015 Water has a nice green color with 6-8 ft of visibility. Temps are 60.5-62 and the fishing is "ON". You should have a great time. Ned and dead sticking the fluke have been great for us. Good luck!
Members JerryK Posted April 28, 2015 Members Posted April 28, 2015 Heading down tomorrow for the first time this year. Can't wait to get the boat in the water!
Hammer time Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Try c-rig lizard in 6-12fow in main lake pockets and arms with chunk rock pea gravel mix. Been real good this last week for me. Good luck and have fun. swelbo1 1
