Guest Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 White River is over the Mount Olive Road at Elkins. Very muddy and debris filled. Expect the mudline to go way down the lake, possibly past 12 bridge. thats the HWY 74 bridge? crazy when was the last time it was under water?
JohnF52 Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 No, It's the small bridge on Mount Olive Road on the SE side of Elkins. 74 Bridge has never been under as far as I know. Here's a picture of the White River at Elkins City Park this morning. There is an 8 foot bluff under water toward the middle left of the picture. The bushes sit on top of the bluff.
Quillback Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Wow, that is some high water. Did not get as much rain up here in northern Benton County.
JohnF52 Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 It crested (I hope) about 10 A.M. today nearly a foot higher than my picture.
JohnF52 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 The upper end at least to War Eagle (probably further down) is terrible. Chocolate milk water laden with logs and drift piles seen near 412 bridge (from shore). No way I would put a boat in that soup.
