ollie Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I was about a month ago and didn't do very well. The pond I normally fish was lower than usual and I think when I went the water temps weren't very high yet as well. I plan on going again sometime this month or next month. Members markw Posted May 12, 2015 Author Members Posted May 12, 2015 I went Sat fished pits 4, 14, 27 caught a couple channel cats some bluegill and some small bass.most of the storms went around until late in the day
ollie Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Looking at the map I don't think I have ever fished those pits before. I know some of those are managed for bass and others are managed for cats and bluegill. Was the water down from what you could tell? Members markw Posted May 12, 2015 Author Members Posted May 12, 2015 yes it looked like waterline on bank was several feet low actually had to push canoe in at pit 4 after that it was good, water was clearer on 4 than the others
ollie Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I was afraid of that. That was the biggest problem I had I think. The pond I normally fish was way lower than last year or the year before. I may wait on those this time around and fish Bushwacker instead. Although that is a mad house on most weekends.
