Members phins Posted May 13, 2015 Members Posted May 13, 2015 Went down on 5-13 and the water is very high and murky but according to the staff there the spring is falling. Couldn't really see fish but more like shadows in the water. Now for the whine. Okay we have all been there at one time or another where the fish chase a spinner bait but won't bite and the only bite you get on a jig is just shy of the hook. I swear a fish will question your frustration level. Good news is there are a lot of good size fish when you do hook one and they are fighting like they're five pounders. Plenty of runs and aerobatics with the jumps. Park really looks good for Kids Fishing Day and hoping the weatherman is wrong for them.
Seth Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 They can really test a guys patience when they are biting like that. If you can find feeding fish in swifter water, they usually hang on to the bait a bit better on days like that.
