Nighthawk Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I live in Nixa and I'm looking for an easy wading access to the West bank of the James to practice my river right spey casting. Preferably a gravel gently sloping bottom with a decent current. Thanks, Russ

Nighthawk Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 vonreed, I need t duplicate a stretch of the nfow that I spey cast and it runs from right to left.
Flysmallie Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Go to Kerr access, cross the river and go downstream about 100 yards and you will have a perfect place. Might even catch a fish or two.
Nighthawk Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks, Flysmallie, I found another place, too. Hootentown access and Diane, the owner, is kind enough to let me practice there. I can recommend her to rent canoes from as she is very nice. Probably does shuttles, too. Russ
Nighthawk Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Anybody know what the water temp is around Hootentown?
