Terrierman Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Chief and I took a little trip yesterday afternoon. Caught a 10 1/2" goggle eye on the first cast at the ramp. He went straight in the cooler as I was thinking fish fry would be good. First cast curse got me, not another goggler the entire rest of the float. Caught a few Neosho strain smallmouth, Chief had the trifecta. Overall fishing was surprisingly slow. Water was a nice level and a great color. Be warned, there are several spots that are blocked and require lining boat over or under or through down trees all the way across the river. Had a good time in spite of the slow fishing. Thanks for meeting up Chief, and showing me the smoked pickled eggs.
