Members 1099gl Posted May 29, 2015 Members Posted May 29, 2015 I live in the stl area and like to catfish but I can't seem to find a place to catch more than one or two in a few hours, I know most people don't want to share their hotspots but if you would it would be extreamly helpful.
Haris122 Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Have you tried the county/city park lakes where they supposedly stock them intensively? I do decent at Suson, Wilmore, or the Bush conservation area lakes that they heavily stock eating sized channel cats in, though they almost always bite a lot more than I actually manage to catch.

I have tried some but haven't hit them that hard.
Gatorjet Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Anyone know a place to catch lots of cats? Open Door Pet Sanctuary in House Springs! But seriously, the lakes in the MDC Urban Fishing program can be quite good. http://fishing.mdc.mo.gov/reports/st-louis-urban-fishing-program-lakes http://stlouisco.com/ParksandRecreation/MapsFacts/FishingLocations One tip, call the fish stocking hotline at 636-300-9651. A recorded message will inform you of when, and with how many fish each lake in the program was last stocked. Of course, the closer to the stocking dates, the better your opportunity to catch fish. Real men go propless!
