MOBass Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Water was 70 to almost 71. A touch of greenish color. Light wind and overcast all day. Water was up in the bushes and some shad scattered in them. I really wanted a topwater bite and spent most of the day throwing a spook. Total topwater fish=1. What caught fish.... 4" and 5" grubs, watermelon red and milky pepper, 1/4 head. Swimming or scrubbing on main lake and secondary points. Caught fish with the boat in 20-30'. Ned rig. Moved a bit shallower at times and caught plenty on the Ned. 1/16oz was much better than the 1/8oz. both worked, but the 1/16oz. had a better 'feel'. I would wager running a spinner bait or buzzbait along the bushes would catch a few. Go get them before the lake is overun with skiers, wakeboards, et al. Muddy Water, Quillback and flyrod17 3
