Members Bimmer Posted June 27, 2015 Members Posted June 27, 2015 Two out of the last three Saturdays', we've been getting to the lake late and our success has been anything but stellar. Drifting jigs with heavier weight has produced one bow during a period where productivity has been very high. On those two days we didn't get on the lake until after 10:30, as opposed to 6:30am. So with that said, is the evening bite anything close to what the early morning bite has been? God is my Pilot! I'm just riding "shotgun".
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 28, 2015 Root Admin Posted June 28, 2015 Yes evening bite is much better than daytime bite but still not as good as early morning. I've done well in the evenings - that's about the only time I go out. But now that the gates are closed and water temperature back to being 45, the fog will play into traveling the lake later in the day - mornings too for that matter. Daytime bite is very tough, especially on bright sunny days.
