Members armyflyfisher Posted February 3, 2007 Members Posted February 3, 2007 I was on the Little Piney, a couple of hundred yards upstream of the Mill Dam Hollow parking area last weekend (27 Jan 07) and hooked into a nice 14" 'bow and a couple of small chubs on an attractor/wetfly creation of my own. Anybody else fishing that area this time of the year? David
Sharps4590 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 David, haven't been this year, yet. There are some decent fish above and below Mill Dam. I've been busy with the flintlocks and squirrels but as they're birthin' right now and the season closes soon it's about time to start fishing. Mill Dam Hollow or the Little Piney bridge on 63 will most likely be the first place I go.....as soon as it warms up a little! Vic I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
Members armyflyfisher Posted February 16, 2007 Author Members Posted February 16, 2007 Looking at heading down to the Little Piney this weekend. Either to the middle access point or all the way down to the Mill Dam Hollow access point. Anybody else heading out that way? David
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 17, 2007 Root Admin Posted February 17, 2007 I drove over it this afternoon- looks like it's in great shape.
Sharps4590 Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 army....didja go yesterday, (Saturday), and if ya did, howdidja do? If I'd seen your post sooner I might have considered it today, Sunday, but I stayed pretty close to the fire on Saturday.....man, what a RAW day! lilley, it's looked pretty good all winter. Those pesky squirrels and a flintlock kept getting in my way. Vic I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
Members armyflyfisher Posted February 19, 2007 Author Members Posted February 19, 2007 I didn't get the Little Piney...but made it down to the Roubideaux (spelling) in Waynesville Sunday. It was full of run off and I didn't get a strike. Thinking I might go to the Piney tommorrow (Monday) - I'm off of work. David
Members armyflyfisher Posted February 20, 2007 Author Members Posted February 20, 2007 Dang house chores kept me close to home today! Trying to sell the house in ST Robert.....maybe next weekend? David
Sharps4590 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I could be tempted to go Saturday afternoon or Sunday after church. Unless it's raining cats & dogs Saturday. Gotta work Sat. morning. Vic I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
Members armyflyfisher Posted February 22, 2007 Author Members Posted February 22, 2007 Latest reports says cats and dogs will be a'comin' down. I'm there otherwise armed and loaded with my little Echo 3wt! David
Sharps4590 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Be where? Mill Dam? Whatcha drivin'? All still depends on weather and work. I'll be glad when this rush slow down and I can plan something on weekends again. Vic I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
