Members JUST FISHING Posted June 29, 2015 Members Posted June 29, 2015 A little help and or advise. Please!!!!!! Have been fishing pretty hard for the last month, trying to prepare for a tournament that was 2 weekends ago at which was at night, at which only caught a water moccasin that hitch a ride and I found it wrapped around my fuel line at back of boat. So i have been fishing a lot at night and fishing from two inches of water to 30 ftw. Thinking with the lake coming up and water getting into the bushes, that's got to be the ticket. Fished Friday night for a few hours and wife caught one 12 inch bass on plastic worm, (( her second bass on a worm now i can't get her to put it down )) I have thrown everything that I can think of other than sinking the bost and maybe then a fish might bite whatever floats, Been fishing spinner baits - jigs - small crawls to bigger ones - ned rig - to carolina rig to baby bush hogs to 12 inch worms and crank baits, I have been fishing from the mouths of cove to the backs mainly mutton creek and up towards dam have been down to greaser creek twice. Have I lost my fishing ability or are the fish just missed up??????
DADAKOTA Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I'd be fishing brushpiles with a big worm or a jig. Other than that a topwater early and late.
Members JUST FISHING Posted June 29, 2015 Author Members Posted June 29, 2015 I guess I am just not in right area, top water bite is just not there for me either, My wife gets a little upset with me cause when we go fishing I have 11 pole out on my deck with something tried on.
slab slinger Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I usually have good luck fishing the MDC marked piles (if you don't have any of your own) with big worm and football jigs. If no luck in the piles I work the pole timber in creeks and stump fields with worm, jig, and single spins. That usually works for me but some one may have a better bite for you.
Aggressor1988long Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 You need to concentrate on points the water temp has been 84 degrees.
