Crab Shack is in the Landing in Branson. No myth... I caught a few myself.

A few bass were caught in the tournament yesterday just below the 65 bridge on a jig working a bank. Warmwater species are going to be caught on Taneycomo just like any other river (right now it is a river with the current). Find structure and throw around it. If you find a crappie, you'll find more than one. Most of the time, bass is the same. I'd stay in the main lake because the water is warmer than the coves and creeks. Most of the creek mouths are frozen right now anyhow.

I don't know anything about locating them this time of year but I have found crappies on the lower lake in the summer. They were in the backwater sloughs in fallen trees then, they were pretty decent size, 10-12 inches if I remember right.

We caught some 6 inchers and some 13 inchers and some inbetween.

Before the Landing was built... (now I can let it out)...\

I would go to the dock (the 3 that was between Main street and the Lake Queen) and catch crappie, White bass, and trout all night...

I would catch anything between 6-17in crappie (17 being the biggest)... as the water was running never did that well.. only when it was off.

Over a 5 year span.. I had probably caught well over 200 crappie for the table... Now its just finding them again...

but the only time that they would be in this spot was in the fall after Nov. and stay till the middle of Jan

also , is it possible to fish off of the boardwalk or is it frowned on?
