Stump bumper Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Is the boat traffic better on the dirty end? Those big boats from Prairie Creek to the dam are getting rough, I am thinking about chasing bass down in the dirty end if the dirty water is keeping the big boats out.
Sore Thumbs Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Yes. For the simple fact that most boats can't fit under Hwy 12 Bridge.
Blll Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 The bigger boats can't get under the Rt.12 bridge. Watched plenty of them become surprised and make a hard left turn this past week. I'll bet the upper end is much quieter than normal for a holiday week and will be for some time. I think it will take another 12" drop at least for the average cruiser to squeak under the bridge.
J-Doc Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 There are cruisers launched south of 12 and other marinas (Hickory, Horseshoe, War Eagle) so they will be out unless it's storming. Even then, they risk it with lightening. Lots of logs under the surface up river too. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Sore Thumbs Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 J-doc. Big difference in boat traffic on each side of the bridge. There is a visible difference. More boats out of Prairie Creek than those other ones combined.
