Dirtracer35 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 As if you all didn't know. The water is 5' high. Means you can get places you normally can't. Went fishing today and was able to stay safe among the reckless. Fishing wasn't so good. So here's a video from as far back in Turkey Creek as you can get and coming out. Plenty of water. Graphed 7' before a log jam. dprice 1
Skeeter ZX190 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 According to the Corps, the lake is at 873.67 while normal pool is 867.00. That's 6 1/2 feet high. Aggressor1988long 1
Dirtracer35 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 Sorry didn't mean to be 18" off. And for the people that care. Lots of junk coming down around the high point area. Aggressor1988long 1
Dutch Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 As of 7:30 this morning it was 873.81 and rising. That's nearly 7' up. Are any of you finding bass in the bushes yet? I've not been able to get a bite in the brush so far. I've tried spinnerbaits, swim jigs, worms and mogambo grubs but no takers.
dprice Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Extremely hit and miss. Dutch. If your boat is still floating. You are probly to deep. Right now Dprice priceheatingair.comÂ

Members JUST FISHING Posted July 6, 2015 Members Posted July 6, 2015 I tried Saturday morning early at 4:00 AM up north from mutton creek main lake points and half way back in coves. We threw it all and DID NOT get a bite. Fished from top water to 30 ftw. I threw into middle of bushes to the bank and drag out jigs - 12 inch worms to 7 inch worms. Got the idea of try a swim bait threw the bushes still didn't get a bite and yes did lose a couple of baits. I have no clue what the heck is going on up here. Use to be able to catch some fish every time we went out, they might not be keepers but at least we could catch some fish.
Members basscatcher Posted July 6, 2015 Members Posted July 6, 2015 Was out last week fished from 4 foot of water flipping, main lake points in 20-30 foot and also deep brush. Had one bite in 5 hours of fishing. Very tough
