Members BuschTrout22 Posted February 5, 2007 Members Posted February 5, 2007 Ok boys, I need a little help... Heading down to taney this weekend. My father in law knows taney real well. I have only fished it once, and we waded in near the shepards hill hatchery. Now since I would think they would still be generating where abouts should I go to fish? We wont be getting a boat, but I would still wade.. Probably be extremely cold, but if I can get away with it I will. I just need to know where the wifey should drop me off Thanks fellas "Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise." - Norman Maclean
Danoinark Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Just my opinion, but probably the parking lot at outlet 2. I think fishing outlet 1 and 2 is going to be your best bet. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Members BuschTrout22 Posted February 5, 2007 Author Members Posted February 5, 2007 Is this still near shepards hill hatchery? Again pardon the ignorance, just not real familiar with the area seeing as my father in law will be coming down later in the day "Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise." - Norman Maclean
Terry Beeson Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Clidk here to view maps... You will notice in the picture on the left showing Outlets 1, 2, and 3... the hatchery is on the left of the picture... duckydoty Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Its still by the Shepard of the Hills Hatchery. They have a temporay entrance right now. You have to drive past the Hatchery and go around it, then take the dirt road down to the parking lot. Dont rule out night fishing. It can be very productive and a lot less crowded with the limited spots to fish Duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

MrsDucky Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Good luck! You'll probably run into some of these guys there. Me, I'm in hibernation mode after last weekend! I can bring home the trout...fry it up in a pan...and never let you forget I caught it! 'Cause I'm a woman!
