Members jfly Posted July 9, 2015 Members Posted July 9, 2015 Have the bass moved shallow with the rising levels again or did they decide to stay out deep this time.
Members KC Bass Fanatic Posted July 9, 2015 Members Posted July 9, 2015 They are pretty scattered. Been having trouble nailing down any particular pattern. Some in the flooded trees, some deep, some where it used to be dry land...it's tough out there for bass right now.
Members jfly Posted July 9, 2015 Author Members Posted July 9, 2015 Thanks kind of what I was guessing but NOT what I was hoping to here. lol. I have a small club event this weekend down there and figure it will be tough. I haven't been down there since the Anglers in Action on June 13th.
Members jfly Posted July 10, 2015 Author Members Posted July 10, 2015 Went down for a couple of hours last night and all I can say is WOW! It doesn't even look like the same lake with all of that water in it. Only managed one bite in two hours of pouring rain.
MOPanfisher Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 If it helps any (which it won't) the current elevation of 859.5 or so is about 50% of rated capacity or one half as much as we could hold. The weather forcast for the next week or so is looking promising all we gotta do it catch up with this current inflow and start it down. Gonna be a while before you see normal though. jfly 1
Members KC Bass Fanatic Posted July 14, 2015 Members Posted July 14, 2015 Typically, the bass bite after the lake stabilizes. That doesn't mean it has to get to normal - just a steady draw of water every day. The up/down level with drawing water and rain pouring in makes the bite unbelievably tough.
