Well I've said any posting is better than none so here goes. Fished 6pm-9pm. Pulled crawler rigs around Bear Island. 1st fish was a 2# spot so I had hope. wound up with 6 fish, 3 spots, walleye, channel cat and striper. I don't think the 5 last fish combined weighted 2#. For what its worth, real crawler out fished gulp crawler 5 to 1. 20' -30'. Had the whole lake to ourselves. Beautiful night, wt dropped to 86 from Saturday 91. Marked tons of fish. Beat watching tv.

Really wish I could have made it out tonight. I plan on going tomorrow evening prob 6-10ish. If the rain holds off.

Good to hear you were on some fish at least! Even slow, time on the water is hard to beat. I hope to get back out soon my self. As for the weather tomorrow, I would be careful champ, weather just said possible strong storms around the evening time, but who knows could miss us!

Yeah. Radar looks clean now after the rain. I'm hopin to get a good shallow bite tonight in the bushes after this rain. Maybe a spinnerbait kinda night.

Storms were ahead of schedule. Funny how that works out when I can't get out! Haha. A shallow bite would be awesome, goodluck!

Well so much for storms ahead of schedule. Got caught on the water for this evenings storms. No docks to be found so I just fished through it lol. Really thought I might get a spinner bite but nothing !! Caught 3 short bass and a couple blue gill.

Let me as you guys this question. Anybody catch a lot of small bluegill on crankbaits ?? I've caught 4-5 lately on crankbaits as big as they are almost. Does this mean anything ? Should I change colors. If there are bluegill around should I change locations ?? Or are they a good sign?

Isn't that the luck of it, spoke too soon about te weather. Haha. I catch quite a few little bluegill actually. As to the meaning behind it? I have no real idea. When the water isn't so high I usually find schools of shallow bass feeding on them so usually I would say it wouldn't hurt to throw something to imitate one. But, those shallow fish are inconsistent on a good year anyways. At least for me, others may have a better idea.

I know right !! Those storms just popped up. I didn't have any lightning where I was just hard rain couldn't believe not getti. Anything on the spinner during the rain. I may try that next time I get out. Gonna try and spend the day Monday on the water I really wanna focus on deeper docks during the day and see if that does anything. Flipping around

If I was gonna go out in the next week or so, which hopefully I will, I would drop shot deep docks, points and bluffs. Maybe throw a shakey head as well. Last I was out, that's what I had to do. Deep water is out of my comfort zone, so I need the practice. If you find some suspended fish, might try one of those fish head spins.

Yeah that's kinda my plan. I need lots of practice on the drop shot. Don't mind fishing deep if I can crank some. Gonna try some big worms maybe jig some too. I definitely plan on spending all day Monday on the water though.
