Predator1 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 1st Annual Missouri High School Bass Fishing Fundraiser: In an effort to help fund the expenses incurred in Fishing Bass Tournaments for the High School Students in Missouri and Support Public Awareness for High School Fishing as a Curriculum in Missouri, Acts Media Group in Conjunction with Bass Slammer Tackle are hosting their first Annual High School Bass Fishing Fundraiser. GUEST SPEAKER-Professional Bass Fisherman and Guide on Table Rock: Our very on Pete Wenner We currently have 39 High Schools in Missouri (see High School list below) who will have teams enlisted to fish the tournaments this year for their students. We need a total of 50 High Schools involved and stay involved for two consecutive years and the State of Missouri will induct High School Fishing as an Official Curriculum. With a collaborative effort from every community through out Missouri, this will be possible. Growing up as a child in grade school and all through out high school, I participated in Football, Basketball and Baseball and Track....Not all children were able to participate in full contact sports and most were not as agile in other sports, thus leading to incredibly higher drop out rates and lower grade point averages....Last year, schools who participated in High School Bass Fishing Tournaments had a significant increase in grade point average and their drop out rate decreased due to a sport that was not only fun buy that anyone can do..... ANY CHILD CAN PICK UP A ROD AND CATCH A FISH. How awesome would it be if your son or daughter were to win a scholarship to college just for catching a fish. I highly encourage each and every person on this site to show your support for this wonderful event next Saturday August 15, 21015.
