7/31 float trip

Took 4 boys on a float trip from Scott's ford back to Indian springs. Only 1 serious fisherman and he had a good day going for smallies. Was perfect weather 85 and low humidity.

Left St Charles at 730 and were on the river by 10. Only a few other floaters that day (Thursday).

He caught dozens of 10-12 inch using mainly jigs.

1st decent fish of the day was a 16-17 inch brown trout that hit a tube jig in the 1st mile of the float.

Best fish was near the end of the float..18 inch smallie.

He did leave the slower back water spots for me and I had success catching a handful of nice largemouth, with the biggest being 16 inches.

Can't wait to get back out!!!
