Dan the fisherman Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Decided to give Beaver another go today. I launched out of HSB and notice water was a little cool than the last time I fished beaver. Water temp was holding at 88.5. I managed to get 3 short spots fishing in 20-30 FOW. I had to really slow down to get them to bite. Later in the evening I found some schooling fish. I never could get close to them so I never had an opportunity to land one. But they got my blood pumping. Oh and I fished from 3-7:30 pm fisherofmen11 and Lance34 2
J-Doc Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Sounds like everything I've seen and heard. I didn't fish this last weekend. I'll have to go this weekend. Cannot NOT fish two weeks without at least one trip. No matter how tough it is. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Members bc23champ Posted August 11, 2015 Members Posted August 11, 2015 Fished out of hickory creek. Down towards war eagle area. Thought the skies were gonna help me out today with clouds so had everything set up for a shallower bite but an hour in the sun was back in effect so switched back to deep cranks and fished primarily bluff walls and edges Caught 4 shorts. 1 on a football jig and the others on different cranks. Had a few bites on soft jerk baits. But could land any. I'll be back out tomorrow most of the day. Plan on heading up towards hsb area and trying the same pattern. Waters temps were high 80s.
