Well I made it out Monday and Tuesday. Beautiful weather. Lil cooler. And had he lake to myself it seemed. Still couldn't get on any fish. Spoke to a guy loading up this morning He said his Sunday bass club last week with 10 boats didn't weigh a fish at all !! Sounds about right ! All I could catch today were bluegill probably caught 10 on a flicker shad.

I saw a ton of fish follow,my baits to,the boat but wouldn't take. On everything from worms in every color, to crankbaits to creature baits. Anyone have ideas on what I should do when they follow all the way to the boat but won't take ??

Probably won't get to fish again til next week so be safe out there

Amazing how a bluegill will try to eat a #7 FS. What are they thinking???

I was raised on bluegill and crappie. We'd stop and just bream fish if it wasn't so hot. Dog days = trolling for us.

I agree. They would literally hit a dd22 as it hit the water, I couldn't even get my hand onto the reel before they were on it. I even had a couple times with one on each treble double style I'll prob take my daughter back to that spot tomorrow so she can catch some even though I hate taking them off with a mouthful oh trebles lol

I went out of HSB Tuesday. Only got 3 fish. First one was a nice 2 pound cat on a jigging spoon. Caught a short spot and baby striper on top water. Water temp was 89.

I fished basically the entire horseshoe bluff had water temps 88ish. But all I could get were the bluegills. Saw a lot of bass follow my lure to the boat but nothing I did could get a strike
