J-Doc Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 No, not Saturday. But I've spooned that lake more than Bill Cosby has spooned jello pudding.... Most of the time, the school moves and the spoon can help push them. Yes, it can work but often times, you have to have a spoon that mimics the bait they are eating as closely as possible. Trolling doesn't seem to be as productive as it used to either. Throwing deep diving cranks, jerkbaits, flukes, etc. There are lots of tricks and I have tried many. Seems the best thing to do is net what they are eating, put on a circle hook and get it near the school but not IN the school. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. Dan the fisherman Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Very interesting. Beaver is definitely kicking my butt. I catch a couple of fish near the schools but very hard to get near them when they're busting. Hopefully the fall will make it a bit easier
Members Chillfish Posted August 18, 2015 Members Posted August 18, 2015 J-Doc, your problem is that you don't have enough bananas in the boat.
