Members Dan Pemby Posted February 9, 2007 Members Posted February 9, 2007 I took this one morning last Summer.
Gary Lange Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 That looks to be a peaceful river to float. What a beautiful picture thanks for sharing it with us. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
MrDucky Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 That is beautiful! And no snow or ice...wow! That really is gorgeous. I keep scrolling back up to look some more. Yikes!!! I Hate that warning horn
Members Dan Pemby Posted February 10, 2007 Author Members Posted February 10, 2007 Thanks MrDucky! I was going to submit it to the lottery for their calendar contest they had last year, but never did. My intentions are to photograph as much Missouri stream waters as possible. I would prefer to have a few smallies in the foreground of those shots Anyway, as I make progress this year I will post them here.
superfly Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Dan, Great picture! It should be in a calender. I grew up in Farmington and fished the Big River and the St. Francois River as a kid for smallies. Some good memories. Matt
jdmidwest Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Dan, great shot of a great river. Unfortunately in the last few years it has been polluted by in stream cattle operations from Hwy 8 to Terre du Lac. We floated that section last summer and the water quality was horrible. Reported it to MDC and DNR to no avail. Above the gravel pit at Hwy 8 is great in a kayak. Here is a shot from the irondale bridge.
