I have a friend named Mike. Mike Morris. He and I played rugby together in Tulsa. After I could no longer play, I tried, God help me, to coach him. Later we both coached high school teams we started in Tulsa. I have a number of stories to tell about Mike, but I will not bore you now. Let us just say Mike has an interesting and checkered past, and I m lucky to have been with him through some of it.

Now days, Mike is the heart and soul of longwalkmike and mylongwalk.org. He is a cancer and an addiction survivor that focuses on helping young people find strength and skills. I trust him and I vouch for him.

On October 7th he will start a walk at Woolum, Ark. across Arkansas and he would like to have 9th grade and older students and parents join him for 1 to 15 days in a self esteem and skills building trek across Arkansas.

I have volunteered to meet them with provisions (by car) and add moral support. He has offered an exceptionally low participation rate to those I recruit. (I receive nothing from this!)

If you are interested or know some one that might be, please send me a message.
