M_Taylor Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Launched out of PC around 2:30. There were plenty of bass boats close by due to it being the final hours of the tournament. I heard it took 26 pounds and something ounces to win. I fished pretty close to 12 Bridge and PC with the drop shot and ended up with 7 bass (SM and Ks) and one short walleye. I tried a few crankbaits to no avail but ended the day with a couple more on a Spinnerbait. I was off the water by 6 or so. Good afternoon to be on Beaver Lake. Lance34 1
J-Doc Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I hate to brag.... But our very own Jolicious got 10th place in the Everett tournament. Congrats to Joe!! I took the afternoon off from fishing Beaver. Sounds like you are still getting into them. It's been a weird weekend for the fish. Still a bit warm. Water temp was 80 Saturday. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

Well then he is the one that should be putting up bass reports. Dan the fisherman and J-Doc 2
jolicious Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Thank you J-Doc My advice is to talk my partner into fishing and be ready to run the net for him We caught them both mornings on spooks and wake baits first couple of hours in 5' or less around bushes. After that we used jigs / Carolina Rigs / drop shots on secondary points ( gravel was a must for us) in Esculapia/Blackburn/Coose. The spook bite was really weird - had to move it painfully slowly. J-Doc Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I've also noted they want the spook slower. But I haven't tried painful slow yet. Need marine repair? M_Taylor Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks for sharing Jolicious and congrats. I'm finding fish using some of the methods you mentioned but not all. And nothing over about 1.5lb. I have lots to learn.
