Who's going opening day?

I'll be down there bumping elbows with everybody else. Let me know if your going and what hole you plan to fish so I can swing by and say hello.

I am going opening day. I fish the first hole as you come into the park. I wear a cowboy hat with lots of pins on it. I also plan on having my portable fireplace next to stream. My vest has name on back Dan. Hope we get chance to swap aome stories.

I'm not sure where I will start out at. Last year I started out fishing above the log that stretches across the river down by the picnic area at the end of the parking lot.

I'll be wearing some green waders with a white patch of sealant on my right knee.

if i go(which i will probably let you guys have at it) i will be the one wearing waders and having a fishing pole in my hand.

I'll be down.Sounds like you guy's will be on the upper river[above the bathroom hole]Thats where I'll be too.Probably in the hole by the steps[above the log,below handicap.]If It's cold maybe we can meet by Dan's fireplace Or.... we can meet at the tent have a donut,drink some mud,and wait for Centerpunch to pick up his new zebco fishing rod for big fish.After seeing his C&R pics I'm sure he will win.

shawncat, you mean to tell me that you can actually win stuff. all this time i thought you had to be under 15 to win prizes. say, they dont happen to give a free bass boat to one lucky winner do they?

i would love to at least try out the opening day thing but i may have to wait

til the weekend. anybody fishing the weekend and if so, lets meet up

i might skip class... i'll post again if i do... i'll be the tall guy with the dirty white remington hat and a short utralight till the crowd dies, then i'll be flyfishing. my stepdad will probly be with me if i go.

I'll be spin fishing till the crowds lighten up and then fly fishing also. Maybe there will be a few tight lipped lunkers that I can coax into hitting my little scuds.

Shawncat, I'll keep and eye out for you. I always like to move around after fishing for a bit and see if I spot a big one.

Center Punch, you need to go just so you can get your stale donut and old coffee

I'll be in my green neoprenes with the white patch on the right knee and fishing with a 8.5 foot BPS Microlite spinning rod. There will probably be me and one or two other guys, all using those long Microlite rods.
