Thanks for the responses and for the private e-mails with info.  I will be fishing the Baxter-Shell Knob-Kings River area.  If anyone sees an old man in a black and silver Ranger with a Merc please stop by and say "hi".  I have looked at the Open results and have an idea what to do.  Will try to find shad in the middle to back half of the pockets and use poppers and crankbaits.  Long flat points with drop shots for small limit fish.  Rain on Friday changes everything, clouds and wind mean blade bite on TR but very tough after front moves out. Being a shallow water Kansas river fisherman I will spend some time far up the Kings trying for a flippin or square bill bite.  If that works I can put the 6lbs line away and feel more at home.  Thanks again for the help.  3-Liter

Had a 58 fish day Monday. Yellow magic. Dixie jet spoon. Smoke tube fished like the Dixie jet. Pull up let it fall worked pretty well. 

 

Caught several on in smoke grub. 

 

Nothing real large. We were in eagle rock area.   Good luck
