RyanG Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I finally got out on beaver for the first time in about a month. Launched out of prairie creek and had water temps mostly around 72-73 until later in the day. Fished mid lake mostly and only had a one keeper spot and a largemouth short of the mark by half an inch. Caught several more short spots, all on a fluke early but that bite seemed to die off quickly. Fished several different spots with cranks and drop shots with not much to show. All in all it was a really slow day for me. Although I did find something pretty interesting, or so I thought. Had a small backlash in my real so I cast out towards open water to get the rest out, had the fluke on still and was sitting in 65 feet of water at the moment, started to bring it in and had a half dozen or so small spots just come out of the blue after it. Wasn't expecting to see that, although it was quite amusing. Anyways, was good to be out on the water again, good luck to you guys that get out there this week! Bradsnation 1
Dan the fisherman Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I went out yesterday and had about the same day. I headed out about 1:30 though. Caught a few small guys. I drove a lot looking for schooling fish. Never did find any.
Members rippinlips44 Posted October 6, 2015 Members Posted October 6, 2015 I hate to add to the blues but had a really slow weekend as well. Tried around Ventris with deep diving crank baits. Saw some big bait balls and got excited but nothing hit. Ended up picking up a small bass later around some timber. Beautiful weekend but nothing to report yet!
RyanG Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Seems like it's fishing tough on these sunny days. Hopefully this rain chance later in the week kicks off a better bite for a bit. It was just a beautiful day to be on the water though, I do love fall on the lake.
Mike jones Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 They really are biting guys, I promise!! Had almost 15 lbs with a 4.86 big bass 2 weeks ago in a derby. Last Sat and Sun we had our club championship. Had 10 or 12 keepers on Saturday with Sunday being much tougher with only 5 keepers. Finished 6th in the championship and won angler of the year..oh and the smallmouth guys caught'em pretty good on Saturday but not at all on Sunday. If you could see'em on your graph, you could catch'em!! jolicious 1
RyanG Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 Oh I am sure someone out there can catch them. Haha, I just am not the guy. At least not at the moment. I am still very early into learning how to use my electronics and such to catch fish and also stepping away from what I wanna throw and fishing what I need to instead. But i will get there eventually. Hopefully its by friday, cause saturday is my last qualifying tourney before our college series championship and i need a good finish. Haha.

Stay with family and catch some more Central Florida Big Girls :-) Don't need a graph on Woodruff or Glen!
