wareaglecamo Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 great report . . . sounds like you had a fun day:)
Kramr Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Always fun to be catching. Thanks for the report.
Hammer time Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Was a good day, had to cover a ton of water. Fish were scattered, some on the bluff others on the swing or just past. Seemed like when I caught 1 I'd have a little flury. Was surprised not a better fb jig bite. Temp 68-71
Dutch Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 That beats what I did on Tuesday. I caught 18 on spinner baits and worms up in the Big Sac. I only could muster up 2 keepers. Most of mine were on bluff ends. I couldn't get a jig bite at all. I'm going to try Little Sac today.
Dutch Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 The Little Sac wasn't any better than the Big Sac. I fished up the river from the 245 bridge to above High Point. I managed 15 bass on spinner baits and worms again. I still only could muster up 2 keepers. There was no pattern at all as to where the fish were holding. Hammer time 1
Hammer time Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Dutch, I can't put together a pattern either on where the fish are. With the temp in the 60's I usually can find them, but they're scattered. Maybe the lake is turning over? I can find a good fb jig bite and that really has me scratching my head .
Dutch Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I haven't had a good jig bite all year. Early swings did the trick but the last month they have been worthless. I have decided to go back down and stay for a few weeks and see if I can get bit and find a pattern. By now spinner baits are all that I have to throw but not this year. I can't get them to look at a buzz or spook to save my life.
