Members Kolt89eu Posted October 15, 2015 Members Posted October 15, 2015 Smallies are hitting pretty hard on spinner bait in the yak this time of year. Fly_Guy 1
moguy1973 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Do you mean largies? Kolt89eu, bs1827, tho1mas and 1 other 4 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

Members Kolt89eu Posted October 16, 2015 Author Members Posted October 16, 2015 Thanks! My cousin and I are fishing buddies and we've always called any bass smallies. Appreciate the chart, now I can post more accurately about my catches. Fly_Guy 1
fishbait3 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Do you mean largies? I was thinking the same thing. I myself cant figure out the difference between large and spotties
navery Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 The easiest way is the jaw/lips. The jaw on a largemouth, when closed, will extend beyond/behind it's eye. A spotted bass will not.
Smalls21 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 spots usually have a rough patch on their tongue as well
Members hung on a rock Posted October 17, 2015 Members Posted October 17, 2015 Those are some nice bass! How long ago did you catch them?
Members Kolt89eu Posted October 18, 2015 Author Members Posted October 18, 2015 Thanks! It was around the beginning of October.
