Members JodyMikal Posted February 14, 2007 Members Posted February 14, 2007 Hey guys! I am also new. I live in KC and mainly fish around here, but just started flyfishing last year. I am already 2 rods in and $100 worth of tying material! I should fit right in!

Terry Beeson Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 ...I am already 2 rods in and $100 worth of tying material! I should fit right in! You have about ten rods and $1,400 worth of tying material - not equipmet or hooks - just material... to catch up with SOME of us... not to mention any names (You KNOW who you are...) Welcome to the forum, Jody. And welcome to fly fishing and tying. We all started with a couple of rods and a $100 worth of fly tying material... I just hope you have a couple million laid back somewhere to feed your new habit... Lots of good guys with good advice for you here... Members JodyMikal Posted February 14, 2007 Author Members Posted February 14, 2007 The wife is a dentist... lol. I specialize in Floss Flies. You think toothbrush bristles would make a good dry fly?
duckydoty Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I know a few guys that can weave a mean stonefly nymph with waxed dental floss duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Terry Beeson Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Geez, DuckyD... MacGyver can take a foot of waxed dental floss and blow up three buildings, escape from a terrorist prison, start a Lear jet, parachute into a New York apartment, cook a seven course gourmet meal, floss his teeth afterwards, tie said fly, and use what's left of the floss for tippet material to land a 20 lb brown with his big toe... Of course, I could too if I wanted to... He DOES use the mint scented/flavored floss, right?
