Dan the fisherman Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Well after a series of unfortunate events with the boat ( in the shop for 2 weeks), and float camping all this past week, it's time to get back on beaver. Really excited to fish this fall time weather. I'm thinking of bass fishing creeks tomorrow then trolling later for stripers. N e one have a idea about where's to begin. N e one else heading out?
rps Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Scott at HLS caught some fish yesterday. Call him.
J-Doc Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I heard they were still near rocky branch and coppermine. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Dan the fisherman Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Ok. Thanks fellas. I hope the heavier rains hold off also. I don't mind a light rain. It's the heavy down pours I wouldn't want to mess with. I've had enough of that on the river lol.
1969Larson Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I can tell you that Prairie Creek and Avoca are full of shad. That's about it.

I'll try some fishing there to coppermine. What's the water temp. I'm sure it's dropped with this cool rain we've had lately.
Lance34 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Danny it was 63 degrees up the white today. Glad your rolling again. Dan the fisherman 1
Stump bumper Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 That is getting close to that my favorite temp of 50. I think the shad slow down at 50 degrees because that is when the feeding starts to heat up. I can't wait to find those big swirls in 4 feet of water. Dan the fisherman 1
Dan the fisherman Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Thanks lance.... I should be out by noon today. Water cooled off a bunch. Nice.
Dan the fisherman Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Well all I can say is, swing and a miss! stripers continue to ilued me. Got a few spots on a drop shot though. Didn't really hit bass hard. I was really on the hunt for those big striped fish. Oh well. Keep trying I reckon.
