I'm going to Texas the last week of March. I'm definitely fishing Lake Fork for a couple of days, but haven't decided where else to fish. I've previously fished Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn, but wanted to see if anybody had any input/recommendations on places to go. Thanks for the help guys.

I know its mostly a fly fishing website, but if you ask, they will help you out with whats hitting where and what to use. You may even get an offer for someone to show you where to fish without having to pay for a guide.

You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.

It's been several years since I've been to Lake Fork. There is a newer lake just north of Fork called Cooper. I know when I was fishing Fork they were pulling a lot of big fish out of there. The day that we tried to fish there the wind was so bad we didn't even try it. That's the problem with those Texas lakes, it doesn't take much wind to blow you off of them. Next thing you know you are sitting in your room watching Oprah. Been there, done that.

Even though I'm just an hour South of Fork I haven't fished it in a while. Mainly because I don't have a boat at the moment. I still hear alot about what's being caught. They are still pulling big fish out of Cooper. Cooper or Fork either one would be good to fish toward the end of March(spawning time). Alot of very large fish come out of Fork at that time. Crappie may be up shallow at that time too depending on weather. There is a lady that guides for crappie and big bluegill on Fork. Terry Moon is her name. She does very well from what I hear. Hopefully we'll continue to get rain here. Fork was several feet low at one point during the fall and so was Cooper. As long as there's water fishing is possible.

I'm probably going to fish 3 lakes, 2 days on 2 lakes and 3 days on one lake. I like Rayburn & Fork, but Toledo Bend looks like it has been having water issues, at least last year. Just trying to make the best use of my limited time.
