Well I headed out of HSB.  Went to the river looking for striper.  I couldnt  find them and didn't have the fuel to do a 3 hr search again.  I fished the water intake and monte ne.  I zeroed. Oh well. I'll have to fuel up and do another search next time. Water temp was 54-55.

Is the water clear at the intake?  I'm thinking about going above HC tomorrow...haven't heard any reports on muddy water.

that mudline might carry to Monte Ne & hang out there.

By next wekend, it should be dynamite. Last time it dropped the temp from 59 to 53 degrees, some areas 51.

Im hoping to avoid the 49 degree water this early.

I know how you feel Dan, I just have not found the "feast" bite lately. Fished brooders for 5 hours yesterday around the islands. 1 Spot, 1 crappie, i break off, could have been a striper or flathead. Too short a fight to tell. Went screaming for the trees and I tightened down too much-ping! Pretty miserable weather and not enough fish to brighten it. Glad to be out. Rt.12 ramp had 8 cars when I went out (7am) and zero when I came in (1pm). Hot coffee & football sounded good to me.

Bill try south.  N e thing south of beaver shores.  Gotta really look for them. But they're around.  I'm going tomorrow again.   I'll be fueled up and read to search!
