Members Jack Perdew Posted December 6, 2015 Members Posted December 6, 2015 OK I was not even go out on Friday so I went out this morning 7 to 3 out of pc The suckers work great but there is one problem small bait small stripers about 20 today but all in the 15 to 18 inch range . Fun day. Starter HB docks area and caught five as soon as the bait hit the water moved closer to pt 12 and got a few more worked my way back to pc picking up the rest. Picked up some good size shad for the next few days . Hope to pick up in size with the right bait Green236 and J-Doc 2
Dan the fisherman Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Wolf packs! Nice. You'd be I trouble if they were big'ins... Good times though. ??
J-Doc Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 That must have been you in the back of PC this morning. I was in red boat. Need marine repair? Members Jack Perdew Posted December 6, 2015 Author Members Posted December 6, 2015 I was in a white triton, not much luck on the Shad In the morning to cold to throw the net with all the clothing lol Went back for bait around 2 so I would have bait for this morning
J-Doc Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Yes it was. There wasn't any bait there anyway. They were all on the bottom and scattered out in the deeper water. Once the fog cleared and sun came up, they moved into small groups. I think everyone has pressured that area so much, it's depleting now. I was in the red Ranger. Need marine repair? Dan the fisherman Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 That's a real shame if that's the case J. Hope the weather has just moved them out and not being depleted.
Dan the fisherman Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 If they have just moved out due to weather, open water netting might work out for ya'll. I've been getting good shad in deep water lately.( they're not as shallow ?). Just find them flicking on surface or (and here's the tricky part) find them on the graph 10 feet deep or less and throw net over them.
J-Doc Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I've got an 8ft net and they scatter before the net hits the bottom. They have not been grouped up that tight. Need marine repair? Dan the fisherman Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Hmm. Tough J. I've been using a 6 footer.
