The Caddis Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Any updates on this? I thought I saw on the Caddis post that these were being sent along with the flies for that swap?
jjtroutbum Posted May 1, 2007 Author Posted May 1, 2007 The last set of flies have yet to arrive here yet, however I have been contacted by the tier and was informed that they would be in the mail today as he was called out of town recently for business. So as soon as they are all in my hands they will all be returned. With a little show of gratitude from myself for the good job done by all. Randall Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Just got the flies and the box after a short battle with the mailroom. Very nice everybody. Thanks JJ for putting in the extra effort to make the boxes and hosting the swap. Cute animals taste better.
jjtroutbum Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 Well I managed to catch a ride to Bennett on Tuesday with Noluck. And did successfully catch a few fish on several different patterns from the swap. Mostly doing a quartering downstream swing on a floating line SH swung in and slightly below below the surface standing about midstream working both sides of the bank equally well and methodically as I could. This method took a while to really pic apart the stream and its many holds, but did produce for me and the park was fairly empty considering it was a Tuesday.(If not necessarily for a Tuesday.) I had the most success from the spring hole through the first access for people with disabilities in ZoneOne. And then again in ZoneTwo from the Stone bridge down to hatchery outlet. There were plenty of fish that didn't bite but the ones that did were aggressive takers and fighters thats for sure some producing that "O'my" wake on there way. I really enjoyed hosting our swap and hope every one else might wanna share there success stories after they get a chance to fish them. Thank you all again, JJ Ps. I will soon(probably tomorrow) be sending the cream of the crop to Roland so he can take some pictures for the sight but was informed that It may be a while before they get posted since Phil is in Alaska. Rolan Duffield Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Its my understanding that the missing "Phil" will return from Alaska by July 1st. Seems as though the Lilleys will be hosting a wedding in late July. --- "Megan Lilley". Hope to have the pics of your flies ready for him when he decides to return home. Rolan
3wt Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Are the pictures of these all in yet? I want to see what everybody tied so I can attempt to reverse engineer them...Or if everybody was in a super helpful mood they could post materials lists.
Rolan Duffield Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 3wt: I am working on the photos of Fly Swap 4. --- Soft Hackles. Will have them ready for posting once Phil returns from Alaska about July 1. Hope that is O.K. Rolan

Rolan Duffield Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 To: the Caddis and JJ troutbum: I recently sent each of you a personal email on this web site though I haven't received a reply. Did you get the message? I need an extra copy of the Olive Flymph as tied by the Caddis. Need this to complete the set of pictures for the Soft Hackle pics. The fly I received must have flown away. Please contact me and send the fly to: Rolan Duffield 10424 Mohawk Ln. Leawood, KS 66206
