I am not pure as the snow, but I know the difference between catching fich on a fly rod and fly fishing. What the outlet people do would be better done with a weighted bobber, 6 lb mono, a worm and a broom handle.

I know, and I can understand the frustration some folks feel when they see people bending the rules or abusing the outlets. I also think it's very important to preserve the trophy area as a sanctuary for larger fish. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing it become C&R. But lets face it, what we're talking about is put and take. In many ways it's not too far from the fish bin at the boat shows.

I don't mean to demean the lake - it's a gem and I enjoy fishing it very much. I just think folks get a little too worked up over the "purity" of something that's not natural to begin with.

Also, I'm sorry if I came across as rude in the last post. I thought it funny at the time, but regret poking fun.

Seth, There is a difference between catching trout on a fly rod and fly fishing. I say what you and your buddies were doing, and that aint fly fishing.

I'm confused on something. Why was the comment even made in the first place? I've been reading this forum for months and have never seen anything like that on here. This forum is for sharing information and enthusiasm about something we enjoy. If someone wants to debate the definition of a certain type of fishing- lets do it- but in a dedicated thread and not in a personal situation that appears to be in my eyes an inappropriate comment to someone sharing their experiences.

This is the first time I've ever replied to anything on this site, but I've learned a ton from everyone on here. It seems that if we wouldn't judge each other, things would be a lot easier. Together, we have a great fishery, divided, the anti's have us right where they want us.
