Gatorjet Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Well, as you probably know, the pavilion is under water, and likely to stay unusable for some time. One option would be the MDC boat ramp parking lot just down from the pavilion. There are primitave toilets there, but no electricity. Any cooking, or warming will have to be with portable grills. So the options are: Move to the boat ramp parking lot. Cancel and possibly reschedule. Or does anybody have any other ideas? I think Phil, and his staff will be way too busy to be doing anything this year, and doubt they would appriciate a bunch of guys hanging around his gazebo in the way, so that's out. Please comment so everybody can figure what is going on, and if there will be enough people to bother with it. Real men go propless!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 30, 2015 Root Admin Posted December 30, 2015 Water will drop tomorrow but the area will have a lot of mud. You could come here and use our pavilion
MOBass Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I'm up for a get together. Hopefully we can get some other hardly souls to chime in. I plan on fishing somewhere, somehow on the 1st.
Gatorjet Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 OK, didn't bother making the Jambalaya athome to bring down, but I did get the andouille for it at my favorite meat shop, and brought the secret spices. I'll get the rest of the makins' in town now that I'm here. Thanks for the offer Phil. Sounds good. As long as you're sure we won't be interfering with the things you need to get done. Real men go propless!
MOBass Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Are we officially relocating to Phil's pavilion? I don't want to eat my buffalo chicken dip alone. Might have some other stuff also.
Gatorjet Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 OK, it's official. The OA get together will be on the gazebo at Lilleys Landing. I'll be there with a pot of Jambalaya, and heard rumors of somebody bringing his World famous Sea Horses! Hope everybody can join in. Real men go propless!
crappie_adams83 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Yep I'll be there with some southern style sweet tea but what time are we all meeting up if every body had a pole and a fish on the line there would never be a war
Gatorjet Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 11 ish. Southern style sweet tea should go great with Gator's semi-authentic, almost genuine Cajun Jambalaya! Real men go propless!
MOBass Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 11ish? I can sleep in! Probably be up early chomping at the bit though.
hfdhoosier Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Sheila and I will be there with some deer chili! Dennis Eat, Fish, Sleep,....Repeat Member: ozarkflyfishers http://www.ozarkflyfishers.org/
