Bob A Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Recently heard some good things about Bull Creek but simply not familiar. Can anyone give me some info on fishing Bull Creek? Such as public access for wading, ease of wading and suggested fly patterns. Would appreciate any comments. Thanks, Bob A (Springfield)
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 19, 2007 Root Admin Posted February 19, 2007 I sent a gentleman down to highway F and Bull Creek yesterday to do some wading/bank fishing. Hope he made it and did some good. He had some REAL nice looking little crawfish patterns. Not sure if there's any "public" access there except for the highway right-a-way but you could wade the creek up and down. Down is better looking water and I've talked to people who have waded there and done very well. I've floated it from 160 to F- it's a neat little stream full of smallies and this time of year I'm sure there's a few trout.
Bob A Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Thanks, Phil. Appreciate your input. Bob A

SilverMallard Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I've had some success on trout and panfish on Bull Creek. There are a few places with public access, but at Hwy F it's all private and has to be accessed off the highway and waded. Trout get pretty up Bull Creek on high water, but not in big numbers. But catching the plentiful panfish on light tackle can be fun yearround. Felt soles are highly recommended!
