rcguy Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 oops! Guess i didn't make it to c and r this year! Bummer. It sounded like the fishing was good. Too much playing with the new puppy and building airplanes.
NoLuck Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 I didn't get down much Jerry. Between working some weekends and the high water and cold weather, I just didn't get down there. The few times that I did make it the fishing was pretty darn good. There is a bunch of gravel moved around now. Be careful if you do make it down there soon. Im leaving Saturday morning for Hoover Dam again. Should only be 2 weeks this time. Maybe 3. I had planned on making the opener and a couple of days after that. Oh well. I'll get down there soon enough.
Members Sean P Posted February 13, 2016 Members Posted February 13, 2016 I made it down and the fishing was great. Also fished the river and caught a few smallies. Cant wait for trout season. For now busy tying flies to replenish my supple.
rcguy Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 NoLuck, Let me know when you get back and head down. Might just meet ya down there. I just read on the Weavers report that there will be a LOT of 12 inch fish this year because of the flooding.

Work is winding down out here when I got here. They just had to put a rush on it. So I'm working nights for a couple weeks. I have vacation days planned from February 29th through the 2nd of March. It may come down to me stopping there on my way back from here. If the fish size is smaller I'll just have to use the bamboo or the Scott glass 4wt then. Maybe even get the 3wt back out. Catching fish is fun as long as there is a fight. Catching dinks on a 9ft 5wt isn't much of a fight. I'll give you a heads up if I'm gonna make it for the opener or shortly after.
upstream Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I'm pretty sure we'll make it for the opening
NoLuck Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Yeah. I'm pretty sure we'll be there Monday through Wednesday. I know I'm tired of driving though. That wind was murder pulling a big cargo trailer home across the country.
