STLbassbuster Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Also curious to know what they were biting on. With the wind maybe a spinnerbait bite turned on.
Members 5fshlmt Posted February 29, 2016 Members Posted February 29, 2016 Fishing was tough for everyone. Those were the only keeper fish in the boat. We fished a jig all day long from Ruark to Turnback and caught about 10 fish. No pattern to speak of as the biggest was in 3' and the deepest came from 15-20'. Second and third had three fish each and one had a 5+lbr but not certain how they caught theirs. Do recall some of the others mentioning catching shorts on a crankbait. Water temps were 44-49 and about a foot or so of visibility. Tater 1
Members livingtofish Posted February 29, 2016 Author Members Posted February 29, 2016 Yea I don't understand it either, I was down Saturday and early Sunday. Fished football jigs in transition areas where I have done well before, wiggle warts very slow in the same areas and caught two dinks. Very frustrating, Maybe more golf would be a better use of my time.
STLbassbuster Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I will be there this Friday through Sunday. Hopefully I can put a few keepers in the boat. Looks like the weather with stabilize after tomorrow.
