The National weather service is predicting the wettest March on record for Arkansas and most of it next week. If we get the 7 inches in the forecast, there goes the draw down and the clear water in the river. As soon as you get a pattern that works the lake takes a total change in just a few days. Anyone want to guess when the flood gates open again?

Maybe it can all stay down to the south.......

If it rains heavy the gates will most definitely open, but only when they wait until the last minute.

Well looks like most of the rain went east, lake is only up one foot. The additional rain and run off should only be about another foot by this weekend. Looks we dodged a bullet on this one. Southern Arkansas and Eastern Arkansas were not so lucky and poor Louisiana is still getting hammered hard.

I hope we still see clearing water and warmer water soon, I would love to see blue water in PC area again, this brown water is getting old.

I'm sure it will clear up just in time for wake board season.

I live on a creek that got shuffled around big time after the Christmas flood. My wading has been hurt quite a bit, but the gravel bar shifted to my side of the creek which is kind of cool. The fishing just isn't the same but the hanging out got a lot better. I was almost hoping for something apocalyptic to change it again, but I'm glad we dodged it.

The whites should be in full swing and the walleyes should be post spawn up the river when this all clears up. Maybe I'll get to cut loose a day next week if the water is right.

We are still getting rain here in DFW, Texas. This muddy lake fishing is not working out so well for striper and hybrids. Seems like last spring all over again.
