I'm surprised that this site is so dead I used to fish MT all the time until I sold my boat. I know it can be a fickle lake, being a flood control project but still the fishing used to be pretty good. If I went I would head up to the South Fork. you could fish a lot of good water from that access and it may not be as crowded. There were a lot of Bass tournaments on MT (that's why I sold my boat.) and they were concentrated at Black Jack.

well when u live around st.louis its the closest major reservoir so the way i look at it i should be heading up there in the next month or 2 and ill post a report

Depending on the rain I would not put it off too long if you'r after crappie. If you get a couple of days of warm weather the fish will be jumping. :D

well if it was up to me id be up there sooner except i sold my truck so i cant pull my boat with my car so i kinda gotta rely on friends and family to pull my boat around :blink:

don't remind me i had the same chevy s-10 for 11 yrs. i went through 2 motors 2 transmissions and like 3 fuel pumps it became the time when i had to replace the drive axle so i tapped out and sold the truck. i'm done putting money into that truck. saving up for a new one now. just gotta get enough for a decent downpayment then ill stop begging people to pull my boat around
