Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 24, 2007 Root Admin Posted February 24, 2007 Met Jeremy Rasnick and his dad at the ramp at 7:15 this am at Cricket Creek Marina. Headed to the big point just down from the mouth of Yocum Creek and fished 20 feet of water. Nothing. Headed to the left bank up in Yocum where I caught a slab crappie on a white jig. About 8 feet of water. Then we left and headed up in Cricket where Jeremy caught a crappie on the right bank about a 1/2 mile from the mouth of Long on the right bank/flat in 10 feet of water. Then his dad caught one more crappie in about the same water about 200 yards towards Long, same bank. So spotty report. Water stained and 48-50 degrees.
Jeremy Rasnick Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 After Dropping Off Phil, We heading North to the State line Area. We decided to change it up a little bit and with the wind to our favor blowing out of the south we went down 1 bank and caught 3 Bass on Wiggle Warts one of which went close to 4lbs. It was pretty fast action like wiggle warts can be, the water was also pretty stained yet the warmest we found was around 47. We proceeded to get hungry and wet so we headed to the house. Now the sun is shining and I wish I was still out there.
Members TeamKingTuckey Posted February 25, 2007 Members Posted February 25, 2007 Went out yesterday around 3, it was windy but I couldnt sit in class and I wanted to go fish. I fished mostly main lake points and channel swings, picked up 5 on one bank all of them went over 2lbs. then the last one I had hooked before I was going to head home broke me off near the boat and he was a bigg'in 5+ I'm guessin. Went out today around 2 when the rain calmed and caught one smallie when the wind picked up. I saw the gray clouds rolling in and decided to head home. In search for "Papa Pump" ><(((*>
Members markg Posted February 26, 2007 Members Posted February 26, 2007 I was passing by Crickett Creek marina yesterday and spokw with Mark. He said the locals have been catching fish. The water sure was high compared to last year and leaves only half the parking area. Be back in three weeks with the boat. Can't wait! Keep the reports coming.
Jeremy Rasnick Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I forgot to mention. When Cleaning those crappie on saturday the were stacked full of 1" Shad. It was unreal.
