Nitro 750 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Launched at about 10:00am at Long Creek Ramp. Fished the small cove across the lake from the ramp. Fish outside area of the cove to the back of the cove throwing stick bait, wiggle warts, spinner bait, ned rig, a-rig and jigs. Caught 1 short spot. Went to Brushy creek and threw all the same things as before and ended with my wife catching 1 short smallie on the ned. Then moved to a bank that had more gravel and chunk rock on it. Tired all the baits as before no luck, so I thought I would try a spilt shot rig with green fish doctor I usually do not throw that till a little later in the year. First cast caught a 13 inch spot, next cast missed one, so I thought I was on to something. Had about 30 minutes left to fish and I caught 1 more, a short smallie and had 5 or 6 more hits. Called it a day at about 3:00. Water temps between 55.5 to 56.7. Took a couple of pics, but could not find them when I tried to download to the computer. Just a Beautiful day to be on the lake!!!! Muddy Water 1
Bigmo Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Sounds like you threw everything at them. From 3 to 5 has been my best fishing times. They seem to come up shallow and bite alot better.
