slab slinger Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I went over the little sac today on FR 111 bridge and the river looked great. I did stop there and throw a few times with no luck. It was up a little with good green color not muddy at all up there. Good flow and good color just no fish up that far yet. After we tried for a bit we had to go work on our hunting property. Didn't get over to Taylor like I wanted to so no report there. It should be good fishing this weekend with the up comming weather all we need is the water temps to climb and it'll be on. Did stumble across a few morels today. If interested check the mushroom page. Good luck guys.
bwcballer10 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Thanks for the report slab slinger. I am headed over that direction first thing tomorrow morning with a couple of my buddies and hopefully the whites are ready to cooperate. And a walleye or 2 wouldn't hurt my feelings any either.
slab slinger Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 Good luck to you. Wish I could make it out but can't skip out on family plans. I'll be looking foward to your report.
slab slinger Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 Just got a pass from the wife to fish in the morning. Headed to Taylor with a friend. We'll be the 2 ugly outta shape guys in a canoe. If you see me Holland and say hello. Will post trip good or bad when I return home. Did anyone go battle the wind today???
bologna Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I fished down across from Coffman today, nothing there but short largemouth. Hope you had luck at Taylor.
bwcballer10 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I didn't have a chance to report after I got home yesterday afternoon so sorry this is a little late. We got to 215 right at daylight Saturday morning and started off with a white before we even got the boat in the water. We followed that up with a 17 inch walleye soon after, then everything slowed down quite a bit. We would catch a fish or 2 as we floated through each eddy but no concentration of fish anywhere. Got to the takeout at Taylor and we had 17 whites and 2 walleye between 3 of us.
